AFRAM members traveled to Montgomery, Alabama for Juneteenth in 2024. What a time we had. We cried. We laughed. We enjoyed our sense of community. We embraced our history, no matter how painful the reality. We loved our Blackness. We visited all three Legacy Sites as a group, as AFRAM family. The group will forever have the amazing memories from our time in Montgomery.

We are planning our next trip for the “Home of the Blues” Memphis, Tennessee in 2025. Let’s plan on visiting the National Civil Rights Museum and the Lorraine Hotel where Dr. King was assassinated. And, of course, we want to hang out on Beale Street to listen to live bands and eat some of that delicious sweet BBQ!
